General Procedure
This cosmetic surgery procedure is often carried out by Liposuction technique alone. If excess glandular tissue is the primary cause of the enlargement this requires an incision around the areola to access any excess breast tissue and remove it. In addition, the nipples may need to be repositioned.
Recovery Process
You will be required to stay in hospital overnight, take a week off work to rest and avoid lifting or physical exercise for 6 weeks. The incision site may have dissolvable sutures, if not the sutures will need to be removed at seven to fourteen days. An elastic garment will need to be worn for three to four weeks to encourage a smooth result. Patients sometimes report minor pain associated with cosmetic surgery. Any pain can be treated with oral medication. While complications are rare, patients can minimize potential problems by carefully following the instructions given after surgery.
